Francesca Rainieri, a prominent figure in the Dominican Republic’s business sector and chief financial officer at the Puntacana Group, has made history by becoming the first woman elected to preside the board of the American Chamber of Commerce. This appointment follows in the footsteps of her father, Frank Rainieri, who held the same position from 1986 to 1988.
She had held the number two position at the board under outgoing Edwin de los Santos, whose tenure concludes on 2 April 2025. He has served two terms.
Rainieri began working with the Puntacana Group in 2001 as a strategic planning manager and progressed to director of Hospitality in 2004.
