The Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship PGA Tour is happening this week in Punta Cana (24-27 September 2020). The leading sports event has a purse of US$4 million. The event positions the Dominican Republic in the minds of golf players worldwide.

John Norris, vice president for PGA Tours, said that even with all the difficulties brought about by Covid-19, he is excited about returning to the Dominican Republic.

Full FedExCup points are being awarded this week and the winner will head to the Masters in April 2021.

I can see the DR is advertising a lot on the Corales broadcast to promote tourism.
It definitely has a lot of US viewers, several of my friends have e-mailed me about it and it will be fun to watch the last round today.

Now if the DR could just roll back the curfews to 10 or 11 PM 7 days a week they might get a handful of tourists coming back this fall.
It won't be like prior years but the current curfew hours are still to restrictive for someone who wants to enjoy a relaxing vacation.

Good publicity...

Lots of perks for the winner..... Masters, PGA.... long list
Too bad most of the promised "big names" dropped out after getting their a$$es handed to them last week. Topped ranked player is Henrick Stenson ( 30th ), I think. It's a good thing there are no fans, paying to see the stars. They would have been cheated.

Someone should publish the names of the drop-outs. Better still, PGA should fine them somehow.

You contradict yourself, once again, with your above assertions.
If you are receiving e-mails from persons interested in golfing within the RD, you should be seizing upon said opportunity for your properties/business modules.
Not complaining of the lack of opportunities between the hours of 9pm-5am.
What opportunities are your friends/colleagues/clients seeking exactly?
If it is a business module that only exists between the hours of 2100x0500, than you have set yourself up for failure.
You, not the RD government.
For further clarification of your particular plight, please explain what a relaxing vacation entails between the hours of 9pm-5am?
Eight hour time period.

A hungry PGA Tour golfer will always be better to have in your field, than a top 30 player going thru the motions when not in contention. Top it off on a premier golf course on national tv on the weekend, and I would say PC and the rest of the area are the real winners.

Now only if PC/Bavaro resorts would come up with a stay and play package, where you stay at one resort ( ie Hard Rock) and you can buy a multiple course package for the true golfing experience that the east coast offers. That in my mind would be a perfect golfing vacation, along with everything else the area offers.
