Golf Course in Punta Cana

Does anyone have any information about public golf courses in Punta Cana? I have read that it is difficult, if not impossible to get a tee time at a golf course if you are not staying at the hotel housing the golf course. I do not want to bring golf clubs there if there is no chance of playing. Any information about this will be much appreciated.

Said it was a very difficult piece of real estate...
