I have stayed at both and prefer the Apart Hotel Plaza Colonial. You have a kitchen to prepare your own food and is set up for a week or so vacation. The Cervantes is the type of place you would stay for one or two nights and it's that nice for the money you pay.

Thanks Tom! What about A/C, hot water, pool, restaurant? Where is it located in relation to the Cervantes? It's for a group of folks and I know they'll be interested to know all the details.

AH Plaza Colonial is right around the corner and a block down from Parque Independencia. Quiet since you are not on any main roads. Cervantes is further down Boliver heading West about half way to Maximo Gomez (not good with steet names). They are about a 10-15 minute walk between the two places. Cervantes is a regualar hotel, boring rooms, not much for cable, and A/C is so so in the rooms I stayed. The Bronco restaurant has decent food but there are many other places in the neighborhood to choose from which are better. There is a vegan place called Ananadas pretty close. At AH Plaza Colonial there is only A/C in bedrooms and ceiling fans in the livng room area. Much more spacious and like I said before, a kitchen. They have regular cable TV.

Both have hot water and back up electricity and the Cervantes has a pool.
