Help! Hamaca or BC Resort?

O.K. which will it be? Interested in an all-inclusive. Price difference really doesn't matter (Boca Chica Resort @ $100/night; Coral Hamaca $155/night - approximate daily rate for 2, not per person). Two single males traveling. Interests include: convenience, hospitality, food/beverage, cleanliness, meet single women for dancing, etc., (not "friendly" locals). Your opinions appreciated.

I'll agree that the Hamaca is better if money is not a concern, but the BC Resort seems more "friendly" and the beach is definetly not "dirty."

I've been at both Resorts and in every category, beach, rooms, food, grounds and service The Hamaca was better. There are more singles at B.C. Resort, though. The price you quoted for The Hamaca was very good! I know friends of mine paid $199 a day a couple weeks ago when we were down, and I thought I'd arranged a good rate for them! Perhaps you could share your secret. :)

Geoff:

I appreciate your review of both resorts. We are traveling April 15th - 19th and found our "best" price through www.travelimpressions.com

If interested, ask for land rate only for the Hamaca. My understanding is that they purchase bulk rooms and offer airfare, but we already have reservations made with TWA. Another bargain for us, TWA New York - Santo Domingo $255/rt taxes included.

Re: Help! Hamaca or BC Resort?/Hamaca rates

Well S. Fortuna... I still would have to employ you to negotiate my travel arrangements, as the best price I could get from travelimpressions.com was around $95.00 per night single occupancy (including their $25.00 booking fee):). That's also the best price I could negotiate at the Front Desk of the Hotel. If the 'all-inclusive' vacation is your taste and Boca Chica is your destination then I think it's still a good deal.
