I'm looking for a week-long apartment rental (in a nice area please! Not too far from the Monumento area) Oct 25-29. I'm living in the US and have been to Santiago several times, but can't handle the hotel thing.

:bunny: No guys,it's not (quite) like that. I'm a long-time traveler to DR whose taken a particular liking to Santiago for many reasons. I am looking for an apartment because hotel rooms make me claustrophobic after a day or two.

Serious Inquiry

How many people are traveling with you?

Obviously, I missed the joke about my requirements for an apartment in Santiago. I am quite serious about needing accommodations during this period. Do you have access to property for those dates?

KWD,

In all seriousness, Santiago's not a tourist town, so finding short-term accommodation can be difficult, as you're learning. It's a bit like finding a time share in Cleveland.

I know you don't want a hotel room, but aloha sol actually has a few very large suites (almost 900 sq. ft.) that are quite nice, reasonably priced, and might suit you well.

You are correct, Aloha Sol does have some very nice suites for about $RD3,999 or $4,999 a night (I can't remember right now), these suites come with a King size bed and seperate small sitting area with a couch, tv & eating table.

But I heard previously about DR1 posters recommending an Alberto Suites apartahotel with possibly a kitchen. It may be cheaper but you have to search the threads, good luck.

Sorry, I got a little busy at work. I have a place for rent but I am not there right now to rent it to you. I think your best bet is Alhoa Sol.
