Hotel in Santo Domingo
What is your price range?

Hodelpa Caribe Colonial
I would recommend the Caribe Colonial, which is located in the Colonial Zone. It is a half-block from "El Conde" and hotel and staff are very professional. You would be walking distance to many bars, restaurants and nightlife, and yes, they allow you to have guests in your room with no extra cost.

There is also the Sofitel Frances, Mercure Comercial. Both hotels allow guests, but you are charged for this.

Also consider the Hotel Napolitano on the Malecon. It has a disco and casino and may best fit your purposes.
For $100 a night,you can stay at my house,........and,

There is also the Hotel San Jeranimo,at the opposite end of the "Malecon".The Dominican Fiesta is about 10 minutes from the Malecon,but has a huge pool,lobby bar,and is "Guest" friendly! AAAaaaand,there is a bar in the lobby,where you can meet some very pretty "guests!!Cris Colon

looking for Aparta-Hotel to stay
Hello People, how's everybody doing?
I'm new in here and I need some info.
I will be traveling to Santo Domingo in August 21 and i'm planning to stay for 2 weeks. I need some info about los Aparta-Hoteles in DR. I've heard that it's cheaper to rent an Aparta-Hotel than going to a Hotel which pays $50 USD per night or more. I really don't know which one is better. I live in New york and i'm a 28 y/o female. any info about this would be greatly appreciated.

Hotel Napolitano is very good
I just want to give a second vote for Hotel Napolitano. I have stayed there many times and ALWAYS had a pleasant stay. The staff is SUPER courteous and friendly. Really above on beyond. The nightclub as well is great for dancing. They have their own band mind you last time I was there they didn't play but I have been lucky to hear them several times in the past. The only aspect I can't confirm are the guests but everything else is SUPER including the location! Located on avenida George Washington.
You can also look up info on the web. The going rate per the website is 89.00USD/night.

I agree about the Hodelpa Caribe Colonial in Santo Domingo. After staying in more than 6 hotels in the DR the only place I now stay is the Hodelpa Caribe Colonial. They are all like family to me and the place is extremely clean and beautiful. Highly recommended if you want a safe hotel in the best area of the Colonial Zone.
