I need the help of you guys in the DR1 forum. I am flying to Samana on November 14th on Jet Blue and I need a nice Hotel in Samana were I can stay from that date until the 17th. One of my friends in DR recommended that I stay at Gran Bahia Principe Cayacoa. I checked them out and their price is $70US/day all inclusive. I need your opinion here at the forum. Thank you in advance.

It is a very nice hotel, private beach and beautiful views of the bay. You will fly into El Catey/Samana Airport which is about 45 mins to Samana City where the hotel is located. By the way, Jet Blue offers package deals with airfare and the hotel that asked about. Check out their web site or you can google jetbluevactions samana. You might get a better deal. Just a suggestion.

Thank you LTSteve for your advise. I am guessing that the distance from the airport to this hotel is about the same as Las Americas airport to the Malecon area(45 minutes). I might as well stay there. The price is not bad for all inclusive.

I think the $70 pppn would be based on double occupancy. I have never ever seen BP offering a single AI room for $70

Just checked on BP website, their rate is US$90 per person per night base don double occupancy, and based on single occupancy it's US$120 per night. Expedia rate is US$140 single occupancy per night. If I was you, I would double check that $70 rate.
