Hotels on the beach?

what hotels do you guys recommend thats near or on the beach in Boca Chica? something under $85 if theres any available?

el candil,costalunga, and don michelle hotel i personally like.if you dont mind the noise and you want to be in the middle everything i would go to hotel europa top floor north facing apartment w/ balcony overlooking calle duarte.

Has anybody experience with Casa COCO? Is that a good hotel? and what about hotel El Tronco and El Candil? Which one is the best?

Casa Coco is very basic, may not even have air???? I recommend either el Candil or Costalunga in Boca Chica.

hotel garant is another decent hotel close to calle duarte. matter of fact you can see calle duarte from the hotel.
i think it comes down to your comfortability about walking especially at night. el tronco is the farthest away from calle duarte (which a moto can get you there in 2 minutes). el candil, costalunga are about 2 blocks or so. hotel garant is 1/2 block from calle duarte and hotel europa is right on calle duarte.

casa coco was my first hotel stay about 6 years ago. nice hotel but very basic and very very hot in all the rooms upstairs.small bar with a good chef and good food though.

Off the beach- Hotel Mangos..stayed there for 3 weeks in january.

If you want a hotel on the beach there is Hotel Zapatta not sure of spelling but we had a friend from the US that stayed there last March and he was happy with it. My personal favorite is El Candil. even though its up the hill. A good walk to start and end your day!!
