OK I bought one of those balancing hoverboards a few years ago and should just chuck it but it was a gift to my step daughter and she brought it to me to repair (please 
). I actually thinks she now wants to sell it and buy makeup but OK
Since I am not an electronic whiz I am not going to tear it down. I opened it up to check if all the connections were OK and they are all together. The power button does nothing and the light on the battery charger does nothing when I plug it in.
It's Chinese so maybe it hit its quick end of life as all their crap does.
Anyone know somewhere or someone who is sharp on electronics and knows thinks like mosfets and diodes and can evaluate a battery and charger to see if charging is occurring ? Maybe you experienced this with your child's hoverboard
