How do Dominican Shipping Companies Work?

I would like to know the overall structure as to how they make money in regards to the shipping of boxes, renting containers. I work in Relocation sales and would like to speak to someone who knows the overall operation of this business.

Vimenpaq, for example, has an affiliate in Miami that they use to have private forwarding mail boxes to the DR. Then they use a different company altogether for the transportation, which is aerial and almost daily flights. They charge a minimum of US2.50 a pound while the transportation company charges them no more than US0.50 a pound.

Neeedlesss to say, it has proved to be a lucrative deal for them because they have grown tremendously in the last two or three years.

Anyone know if there is any company that has their PO BOX address from Los Angeles? or that brings boxes from LA?
