How much does it cost you in the DR ?
No not all go to the DR to seek what you say......especially to pay the opposite sex for love and or affection.
I take 100 $ in ones and tip accordingly for services in which I would pay anywhere on a get away.
I do, however, bring kids clothing and school supplies to a family in which I have become good friends with. I visit them often when I'm there, and I do this too see the happiness it brings them.
Nothing gives me more pleasure than to give, to someone who is not so privileged monetarily, who in return gives back to me something even greater...........and that is... showing me how happy and privileged they all are even with nothing.

In Higuey the approximate rates are: RD$ + salida (usually 200 or 300 pesos)
barrio puta houses, and barrio chopas - 300 -500 pesos
regular drinking establishemnts, terazzas, disco clubs, - 700-1000 pesos
higer establishements - over 1000 pesos
Those are dominican rates .... if you're agringo with no Spanish, remove one zero, but calculate in dollars.

Nobody said anything about paying.... I said what the approximate rates were.... because one knows what cueros charge does not imply one's paying.... IMHO
Well Kyle why don't you start it off and tell us what you pay on average!!!
the rates varies according to experience. here we go:
1st trip----if didn't care they look so good !!!
less than a year experience---hung at the working girls clubs
1-2 years-----haggles everytime but got my price
2-4 years-----i just go to the mountains and get me a barefoot girl, dress her up and she's mine.
i can say that i've paid as much as 2500 pesos down to about 500....:ermm:
Why all this beating around the bush. Come out and ask what you really want to know and someone will set you straight.
One other point is that free sex costs more than paid for sex when it comes to extranjeros, this is not always the case for Dominicanos.
Pretty accurate Kyle! I'm down to offfering a plate of french fries w/a squirt of ketchup and splitting a Presidente Grande with them....if they're keepers, they have an opportunity, if not, they may not have time to finish the beer.

I'll give you a story. I used to have a bar/disco/billar in Higuey (for 6 months), before the new ley came into effect (so it'll be 3 years soon). Before opening the bar, I want prospecting and scouting other establishments. In Noa Noa some frikin girl wanted to "hooke me"... and about the fee she said... 3000 pesos for 2 hours... so I told her that I wasn't interested, and wished her luck, saying that in "La capital" (at that time) the going fee was 2000 pesos for all-niter in some big girlzie clubs on "La Pasteur".
interesting story. i have noticed an increase in so-called "pimps" in the DR who want to charge you for the use of their girls. i once had a girl whose pimp followed us in a jeepeta to the hotel. she gave me an hour and the cell phone rang. her pimp told her to leave and if i had any problems with it i could come outside. she spoke good english so this is how i knew what was going on. and that was 3000 pesos for one hour !!!
my first trip was like 6 years ago when the exchange rate was about 17 pesos to the dollar. and i was on a hunting trip with my buddies and one of the place to check out was the strip club. Taking a girl to a room out back was 1700 pesos...so about $100. I am sure that was the gringo price.
then 3 years later when i returned and went to the same place the price was 3200 pesos...what a coincedence..the exchange rate was 32 to 1!...so the prices was STILL $100 US.
it was much better driving with my dominican buddies and having them find friends of their friends....then it was just drinks and food for as a "fee".
you could'nt pick and choose like you wanted...but it was all good fun anyway.
