Trump = Common Sense.Farmers and hotels will be in better shape looking for help. Trump just put a pause on deporting those worker in the US UNLESS they are criminals
I guess the cost to the end consumer will go up, but perhaps with some better, more qualified help, structures will stop collapsing.Trump = Common Sense.
Eventually Luis will have to find a solution to this problem or construction projects across the country,
of which there are many, will grind to a halt because Dominicans will not do back breaking work for
such low pay.
Remind me....what biz did Luis come from? Which biz is he returning to? My memory escapes me. Oh, do 11 million tourist stay in hotels ?Trump = Common Sense.

They will only come with a plan if they can line their own pocketsI don't see Luis following Trump's actions. I believe they will eventually come up with a more liberal way of doing worker visas tied to specific companies. But to just say we only deport criminals won't happen on Luis' watch.
Common sense would realize these issues with mass deportations before beginning the process, and thus some sort of plan beforehand. That didn't happen there or here in the DR...time will tell what the fixes will be and/or the results thereofTrump = Common Sense.

It's not labourers, Haitian or Dominican, who are responsible for roofs collapsing on construction projects, it's the building engineers and maestros, who as far as I know are always Dominican.I guess the cost to the end consumer will go up, but perhaps with some better, more qualified help, structures will stop collapsing.
I absolutely agree with this part of your post, and the same applies to agricultural work. I don't think many Dominicans would do the manual work in either of those two sectors for quite a lot more money.Eventually Luis will have to find a solution to this problem or construction projects across the country,

Right. You spin it however you wish my fine mushy peas eating comrade! It's not labourers, Haitian or Dominican, who are responsible for roofs collapsing on construction projects, it's the building engineers and maestros, who as far as I know are always Dominican.
I disagree.Right. You spin it however you wish my fine mushy peas eating comrade!
The only "issues" had with mass deportations to the north of us are coming from the same Team Autopen who let them into the country to begin with, go figure.Common sense would realize these issues with mass deportations before beginning the process, and thus some sort of plan beforehand. What a typical gringo attitude to display.Well, I don't mind at all if construction comes to a sreaching halt. That would be a good thing.
