The ministry that I work with is being donated a car in the US. Does anyone have experience with importing a car for that purpose? Can a non-profit/fundacion be exempt from paying import taxes? Does anyone have a great person to help safely and quickly shepherd a car through the import steps?

The Car can't be older than 7 years to be imported. Do this with a dealer that imports Cars already and pay him something. Doing this by your self is a huge Headache. Forget about Tax Exempt etc.

Because if there would be a Tax exempt for Churches or religious Organizations, nobody would pay taxes on vehicles. At a radius of 1 km i have 20 churches around me LOL. And the above coments are corect ; It's 5 years !

Yes it is a classic 2003 Suzuki DRZ400 street legal with about 600 miles on it. Why would I want to spend money on a moto if it is possible to send one.
