Was there last week. First time to Caberete. Fantastic area.Very colorful.Rooms are nice. The beach is great. The pool is on the small side but OK.Service was good. The real problem is the food. I've stayed at other inclusives and this was the worst food we've ever had. No other restaurant available. Onward.

Re: Estrella del Mar/All Inclusive

That's why I don't bother with All-Inclusives. Besides, the food in Cabarete is excellent and inexpensive ($5-10). Check out New Wave Cafe, Onno's, Ho La La, Pitu, Brisas. If you insist on all-inclusive, another place to check out is Tropical Casa Laguna. It's located right in the middle of all the action. Also note that all-inclusive is optional. You can stay at this hotel for around $40 a nite and eat out. It comes out cheaper in the long run and you won't have to eat the same thing every day. If you need more info/prices, feel free to ask.
