Info on Renewing Cedulas Expiring 2024

Just came from JCE to renew my Cedula that is expiring shortly. Regular Cedula, not Residency. Was told mine will not expire and I can renew it on October 26. So anyone with one expiring this year will just wait for October 26 to renew.......................

Mine are about to expire so I have to go to Santo Domingo next month (from Cabarete). I will still have to go through the residency renewal process and I will double check about the cedula process. I am assuming that this is due to the new style cedulas that are coming out later this year. However, I wonder if those will be on time!
