Hi.
I am planning a late July trip and bought a ticket to Santo Domingo (Las Americas). My reservations are in Cabrere, near the Samana penisula.
There have been message board recommendations for inter-air travel, specifically Air Santo Domingo and Aerodomca.com

http://aerodomca.com/English/english.html

Could someone please provide guidance on using Air Santo Domingo as they do not have a website available, to fly from SDQ to Cabrere? Is this in the same airport?

Also, any other options in terms of reliable bus or taxi services (besides Caribe Tours) would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Air Santo Domingo no longer fly scheduled services, only charters. Your best choice would be Aerodomca or chartering an aircraft.

Don't be silly!

First off there is no airport even near Cabrera.

The closest would either be Arroyo Barril on the Saman? Peninsula or Puerto Plata. Both are hours away from Cabrera.

If your reservations are in Cabarete, then that is a different story, and you can probably fly from Santo Domingo to Puerto Plata and take a taxi ride over to Cabarete. But that is much dinero for just a few hours savings.

However, it would be one hell of a lot cheaper to taxi into Santo Domingo and catch a nice Caribe Tours bus to Sosua, spend a night in Sosua and then take the early bus along the coast to Cabrera (if that is where your are going) or else take another taxi right there at the Sosua bus station into Cabarete...it's a ten-15 minute ride!

I didn't even know there was a hotel in Cabrera?

Any help here, PLease??

Let's get something straight

THERE IS NO SUCH PLACE AS "CABRERE " IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC!!

You must be talking about Cabrera. Okay, Portillo is there near Las Terrenas and Las Terrenas is about an hour and a half from Cabrera, maybe.

There are flights from Sto Dgo to Portillo, but I haven't the faintest idea as to when or how much.

Still not worth the cost...just save a little bit, really and you miss some interesting experiences..
