IS THERE AN INTERNET IN DR ?

I SEE MANY HOT-MAIL THAT FREE OUT HERE, WHEN I WAS LEARNING TO USE THE COMPUTER WE ALL HAD TO SET ACCOUNTS THERE. i JUST BOUGHT A 1.2GHZ 384MB RAM PC. AND WANT TO KNOW HOW EASY IT IS TO GET INTO THE NET FROM THERE WITHOUT INCURING ANY CHARGES FOR TELEPHONE.

Hotmail, Yahoo, and many other email programs are free, but to get to your inbox, or any other site on the internet, you must do so by phone or cable. There are charges for both. The charge varies, depending on the service you choose, but I know of know way to connect free to the internet.

The only way I know to connect free to the Internet is with a ISDN or DSL line, which include internet access, but then you would be paying a lot of money for that line alone, if its dial-up you have to have an ISP (Internet Service Provider) plus pay per minute on your phone bill (unless unlimited time is available in DR)...Can anyone tell me if AOL avail in DR?

I had dial up and now have DSL. Both with CODETEL, both for a fee. DSL is MUCH fast, but also more expensive.

Here there is no charge for the telephone time spend on the net. I know that message are posted here but are you paying both a company for computer service+ a telephone charge for using the net. Here in order for those that are less fortunate the phone companies do not have any charges. Telephone sevice is also provided as a life line for the poor.
