Jack Tar Village, Puerto Plata

Does anyone have any experiences with this resort? How is this place as far as singles are concerned. Me and some of my friends are thinking about going to this resort in May. Anyone have any insight?

Hi Mike,

I just came back from JTV on April 9th and we (myself and a girlfriend) had an amazing time. We met so much people there. I have to admit though that this resort definitely has more couples than single people. However, all the other resorts within Playa Dorada (7-8 resorts) are very close from one another and therefore if you walk to other resorts either on the beach during the day or go to the other night clubs at night, you guys will definitely meet other singles.

I heard that the Paradise Club has alot more singles however the animation and all the rest is not as nice as JTV.

I still recommend that you go to JTV and just so you know, my girlfriend and I are going back in July and will definitely be going back there.

Would this resort be a good place for singles? or should we try another resort?

i think so! there are 7 resorts in walking distance in the complex
