I was ecstatic when I heard the news about FLL-SDQ. One more option (and overall the best) for me now. I have been stuck with choosing either AA (from MIA) or Spirit. I didn't know about the second daily SJU-SDQ flight. Jet Blue is really giving AA a run for its money. And with JetBlue being in direct competition with Spirit on the FLL-SDQ route, well there's no comparison between these two airline's products.

The only issue I see is that the flights arriving at FLL from SDQ will have to go to Terminal 4, which is an absolute madhouse. The immigration and customs facilities here were never designed to handle the amount of international traffic it has now.(between Spirit, and Avianca, and Air Jamaica, and AA flights from Jamaica, and commuter flights from the out islands of the Bahamas that don't have US Border Preclearance) My guess is that the arriving planes will have to dump their passengers at terminal 4, then tow the aircraft to terminal 1, where JetBlue will have all their departures, both international and domestic. (similar to the setup at JFK)

Also, any boxes, or excess or overweight bags are a no-go on JetBlue to the DR. Their planes (Especially the E190) just don't have a cargo hold big enough to accommodate all the excess baggage a DR bound passenger has the potential to bring.
