The national dress chosen for Miss Dominican Republic Kimberly Castillo sparked controversy, particularly because it honoured a religious character. In this case, the Roman Catholic Church protector of the Dominican Republic, the Virgin of Altagracia. The pageant winner will be known on 25 January 2015.

Miss Great Britain and Miss USA have the best costume. The rest are atrocious IMO.

all them biatches are pretty and with bodies to die for. i like the fantasy in some of the costumes. this is a competition where it is crucial to get noticed. miss poland was a bit bland:

i forgot to mention that i liked virgen altagracia costume but i would have skipped baby jesus. he looks like a nip/tuck scar gone wrong.

Other countries depicted mythical creatures from their history (Portugal), so the DR's choice of a mythical being from their history seems in line with others! (Or shall we say endangered . . . . .)
