In light of the tragic incident at Jet Set Club in Santo Domingo, we urge the public and media platforms to refrain from sharing graphic images, videos, names of victims, or unverified information related to this event.

Not only is it ethically inappropriate, but under Law No. 192-19 on the Protection of Image, Honor, and Family Privacy Linked to Deceased and Accidented Persons of the Dominican Republic, such actions are illegal and may constitute a civil offense. Specifically, Article 14 considers the unauthorized dissemination of personal or sensitive data as an illegitimate intrusion, subject to legal consequences.

We must show respect for the victims, their families, and ongoing investigations.

The names of some victims like Blanco, Octavio, the fashion designer, the governor from Monti Cristi along with the singer performing that evening have already been shared online millions of times and throughout the world by intenational media. Train left the station a long time ago. NO ONE is going to be punished for doing so. Asking Dominicans not to gossip about who's been lost as a result of this tradegy is like asking the sun not to rise tomorrow. Good luck with it.

DR1 rules do not allow for posting graphic content so that's a no brainer.
