How is it to live in Gazcue? I am thinking of getting an apartment by Unibe..

Is it a safe walking area? Where is the nearest supermarket?

How is that area compared to Piantini?

Thanks everyone in advance for the help!

To me Gazcue has like an old world flavor. Nothing to see with Piantini. Not a "beautiful people" hype.
Make a search, you'll find posts about Gazcue there, especially from Mountainannie, who lives there I understand.

Anyway what is the point of getting an appartment there if you don't spend a few days there first to get the feeling?

Barnab?

I love Gascue. It is quieter, nicer, safer and more comfortable than many parts of the city. It is a great place and I walked night and day there when I stayed there but I would recommend just walking at daytime. There are a few markets within 5-10 minutes. La sirena, super pola and much more. I am sorry I am not familiar with Pantino. But Gascue is an awesome great place. i think you will like it.

I live in Gazcue.

Before I moved into the current place I live, I made a simple matrix of the things that mattered to me:

Price
Safety
Gym
Food
Girls + Parties
Time to Culture: Bellas Artes/national theatre, Art museum, zona colonial
Time to Airport
'Middle class' vecinos - ie. I want my neighbors to be nice typical locals, not stuck up rich people who hide, I wanted to be able to sit at the colmado and talk to people (i was learning spanish then)

Then compared all the places against this matrix. Gazcue won on a lot of the above criteria, and lost on some (tapon to airport can be annoying some times). If you're interested - Gazcue did very well on price, girls, and parties and culture (and girls) :) :)
