lonely traveler, playa dorada

was just wondering if anyone els has been to playa dorada on their own as i am wanting to go some time b4 march and am having trouble finding someone 2 go with. i am 22 and female, have been b4 but with family, would it b safe to go alone?

Wise advice from adrianb ......... Playa Dorada is safe but beware of the "charming" Dominicans ........ they make their living by seducing "rich" tourists.

If you want a sun, sea & sand holiday you'll have a great time. For a bit more of the local culture book tours with a reputable tour operator, remember to take exercise books & pencils with you if you go into the hinterland on a tour, it helps the kids at school ..... candy just rots their teeth.
