Looking for a good restaurant to get married

Im looking for some information on hotels in the Puerto Plata area to get married. Im planning on getting married May 7,2010. The plan was to get married in a hotel but with all his family the cost was getting alittle high.

Check out Piergiorgio in Sosua. Beautiful setting and you can have a wedding there without staying there!

Piergiorgio is good, and you could try the Water Front. Both have beautiful views of the ocean, especially at sunset.

Restaurant or hotel?.....a little confusing what you're looking for. Not many restaurants that are not hotel affiliated do weddings that I'm aware of. How bout the Paradise at Playa Dorado just east of POP? or if you want to go on the cheapo, why not Rockys?.......you could cut the ribs instead of the cake!

go and check out the former "Quo Vadis" restaurant, the new names escapes me but is located in avenida Luis Ginebra(on other side of liquor store Stragos) in Puerto Plata. By Monday I can post the new name if nobody did that in mean time. It is Italian owned and has the ideal garden to do a wedding....

This is a very nice restaurant with good food. They even have a private dining room. AC there, nice setting, etc. The same as you would see at home.

The price's there are reasonable for what they serve. You may be able to make a good deal for yourself over there.

It is located just past Playa Dorado on the left side heading into town.

Check out the restaurant El Porto, in the Sosoa Village complexe. It is so beautifull and the food is great.
We were there when a wedding was taking place and it was simply beautifull, they set up the wedding podium in one of the Gazebo on the ocean, the lights were all set up and it was just gorgeous and classy.

How generous, you offering to pay??

I dont know about for weddings specifically or how many people you are expecting shawna but there is a great Italian restaurant, La Tarappa in Puerto Plata close to the Malecon.

yes there are rules but I can't remember them!! I just know I panic when I get asked to be the best woman. Something about the honeymoon and the cake. And the man who gives the bride away has a whole lot of expenses too!!

Very good place also. It is owned by an Italian. Besides Italian food they have a Parilla and cook imported meats at night.

It would be nice for a wedding as it would give you privacy, and is large enough.
