We're looking for as young as possible (puppy preferred) dog of the race in the title, below a photo (just a sample, they can look a bit different as well:

We had one of those for many years, but she unfortunately died a few years ago due to being hit by a car. We always had her well protected, but one day managed to escape on a busy street... We miss her very much, was like a family member, and are looking if we could get a similar one (male or female). Location is not that relevant, we're willing to travel between Cabarete-POP-Santiago-Santo Domingo and also island-wide (in the part of DR) if absolutely necessary.
We'll also be checking vet clinics and similar in the capital shortly, but wanted to check if anyone would have any tips for where to look or would know of one...
EDIT: Not sure if this is true or not, but I have heard that these would be called here "peluche", so in case that is true, just adding this here.
