Mail delivery time d.r to u.k??

Hi there I am currently waiting on my husband sending me a very important legal document via mail from santo Domingo to the u.k . Does anyone know how long this will take and what the process is of mail being sent from there? I cannot proceed with divorce until I receive it so as you can imagine I am very anxious ! Any comments appreciated x

We normally use DHL for documents - I think it usually takes 4 to 5 days or depnds on the level of service chosen. Always been a straightforward process.

If he used the regular DR mail it might not arrive at all. I hope he used one of the courier companies.

If it's important, never use the local mail service and always use a courier, e.g. FedEx, DHL etc.

Good point previous posts - we would never dream of using the local mail service for items such as these.

I received mail from UK to Santo Domingo, normal post in 3 weeks once last year, but I really didn't expect it was s shock when it did arrive. FedEx 3-4 day delivery for standard document posts costs ?38.
