The Ministry of Education and the Dominican Association of Journalists (CDP) announced on Wednesday, 3 April 2024 that veteran journalist Manuel Antonio Quiroz Cepeda, who is the executive editor of Noticias SIN, was chosen as the winner of the 2024 National Journalism Award
Quiroz, who has more than 50 years of professional practice, and has worked as a reporter and editor for the news sections at Teleantillas, El Caribe, Rahintel, Última Hora; Listin Diario, RTVD, HIJB, Hoy.
The award, chaired by the Minister of Education, comes with a cash award of a million pesos. The award was created during the Presidency of Hipolito Mejía, when Milagros Ortiz Bosch was Minister of Education.
