Mardom inaugurates logistics warehouse in Punta Caucedo

President Luis Abinader was in Punta Caucedo on Wednesday, 10 May 2023 for the inauguration of the Marítima Dominicana (Mardom) logistics warehouse, a RD$715 million investment.

Mardom built the warehouse as part of country advances to become a regional logistics hub. The new warehouse is a world-class infrastructure of 11,000 square meters, with capacity for 16,000 dry cargo positions and more than 2,000 refrigerated cargo positions. The Customs Agency operates a facility whereby customers can carry out their customs procedures and formalities.

Well, forgive me, but I always thought the DR had an international reputation as being a "Regional Logistics Hub". Quite a large amount of certain types of product finds its way thru this great country and onwards to all corners of the world very quietly and discretely every single day it would appear.

I guess this new port will make that process even slicker.
