Marileidy goes from strength to strength with all her amazing achievements and I hope that she goes on to win many more events. Truly inspirational. On a side note, the author should reword the text 'Marileidy Paulino is the first and only winner of an Olympic gold medal for the Dominican Republic' as this is not true. Whilst she is the first Dominican female athlete to win a gold last year in the Paris Olympics, there were 3 gold medals before her. Felix Sanchez has won 2 gold medals for 400m hurdles in the 2004 and the 2012 Olympic games and Manuel Felix Diaz won a gold in the 2008 Olympics for boxing.
