You're right but the parents have to agree.

I remember WT Grant. Kinda like a Woolworths.

I was caddying at Bellrive Country Club at age 16. $5/bag + tip. Going 36 holes and carrying 2 bags could net you $30. That was decent money in 1971, when the min wage was $1.25/hour.

It is still a gray area about the age limits. MLB rules say an international player has to be 17 years old - for a "deal" to happen. A supposed loophole to go around age limits is a verbal agreement. Guess, the best manner to consider a made deal is the time and occasion of a transfer when a player, parents, and/or agents receive benefits. Benefits could be in a trust not accessible until player is of age.
