Igor Rodríguez Durán, director general of the Dominican Civil Aviation Institute (IDAC) announced the upcoming installation of three new radars at airports in Santo Domingo, Santiago, and Puerto Plata.
In a statement, Rodríguez Durán emphasized that the radars aim to “further enhance air navigation and meteorological coverage in our country.” The new equipment will be deployed to service Las Américas International Airport (Santo Domingo), Cibao International Airport (Santiago), and General Gregorio Luperón International Airport (Puerto Plata).
