Nightlife in Las Terrenas and Santa Barbara de Samana

WIll be visiting these places and wondered if there's any good nightlife--clubs or car wash-type places. Also, are these only on weekends, or every day of the week (I might be here on a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday). Thanks.

Secondly, I read about a new highway between El Catey and LT. When did that open (I was last on the island in 2010)?

There are nightclubs in LT and open all week but are busiest on the weekends. The new road is open and it eliminates the over the mountain trip from Sanchez to LT, it starts at the airport and goes seaside to LT.
