I was in Puerto Plata last August. I did find the weather to be alot hotter than in other months. It was also very humid. The sun is very strong there, make sure to wear sunscreen, especially in the first few days that you are there. I actually burnt on a cloudy day once. Besides the high level of humidity (very bad hair days!!!), the weather was fine. There were occasional showers, but usually it would come down hard and then clear up. In the 2 weeks that I was there we had 1 full day of rain. Besides that...I don't have any complaints. Enjoy your vacation!!!Where will you be staying?(Puerto Plata, Sto.Domingo, Punta Cana...)
