Can anybody provide me with some up to date information on this attraction? And before we get into a pee-pee contest, yes, I know how to use Google and the internet. I'm curious for info from people here with experience and boots on the ground. Not just the basic host supported "we're a great place, come now". Any and all information is greatly appreciated.

what exactly would you like to know? i've been there twice, it's ok, i guess. i find it very sad to see animals in captivity so obviously i do not really like places like that (both times i accompanied other person).
there are several areas to see: birds, tigers, dolphins, sharks and more. many things are extra (swim/dive with dolphins and so on). few times a day they have shows (sea lions, dolphins and more) but i missed them both times.
food is not good. workers are very nice. any photos are very expensive. there are lockers available but it's better to leave all small stuff at home (jewelry, watches).
go when the weather is good, so not in the next few days.

Thank you dv8. I'm wondering if there is any lodging/restaurants on premises, as well as the general experience. I'm looking for activities for the boys. There are limited opportunities here for youngsters as in other countries, but I am trying to broaden their horizons. I'm coming from San Pedro, so an overnight stay or 2 is necessary, as well as food.

We've moored our boat there before. I remember plenty of restaurants, the shows of course. I did like the bird show tooo. It was done very well. Being boaties, we didn't partake in the sealion show, but I'm sure the kids would love it. We also saw the Bravisimo show at the casino which was just ok. I'm just not sure if there was a hotel with the casino or not, but I believe so. It's a busy place there. You could do a fun two days with the little ones there for sure. Call em..*
if you are thinking about food on the ocean world premises, during your outing, then there is a buffet there with regular food items: salads, french fries, fried chicken. not good but fills you up and both times i was there it was included in the price. drinks needed to be purchased separately.
lifestyle and belive hotels are walking distance away, as mentioned. plenty of short term rentals too (check airbnb for prices and availability). there are few restaurants in cofresi area. mexican place is nice, so is ocean world terrace (with great view, i might add). there is also a small colmado for all basic needs. the beach in cofresi sucks, tho. small, dirty like hell and rough water.
kids will love ocean world, no doubt. easily a whole day of fun for them. they also have water slides but i am not sure whether they are operational now.
i can also recommend a trip to teleferico. it's an adventure itself to use a cable car and on the top of that you get stunning views. and usually there is a street magician performing tricks for those waiting for their car. and on sundays (every sunday, i think) there is an event/party for kids.
just to add: i saw bravissimo too and i really liked it. maybe i prefer bouncy boobies to flapping flippers
With exception of Bravisimo, the rest of Oceanworld was free (not food) with our slip payment, so I really have no idea of the costs. I didn't find Bravisimo too terribly expensive though..*
