Spain fresh off the Euro Cup win and rated one of the best in the World is playing the DR right now. Spain took a 1-0 lead and the DR just tied it up. If the DR wins it would be the biggest upset in History for sure...............

If DR wins then the fix was in and someone made a lot of money betting on DR.

I don’t think it’s the Spanish team that won the Euro 2024. It’s like a B or a C team. But still well done by the DR.

Technically it's not a B or C team, the entire tournament is U-23, so players up to 23 years old.
And comparing the two squads only 2 players from the Euro is playing in the Olympics team.

That's right players born after Jan 1 2001. Three players born before that date allowed on the team. DR still doing good give them a few years.

Shouldn’t be that difficult to qualify for the next World Cup then. More teams are allowed. The USA, Canada and Mexico qualify automatically and the Concaf is really bad.

It ended 3-1 to Spain. It’s amazing the DR team is even there.
Midway in the first half a Dominican was given a Red Card in a collision. The Spanish player instigated it and got a Yellow. The Dominican was on the ground and the Spanish player was tripped. But it did not look intentional. This of course as you know forced the DR to play one man short for the rest of the game. So they did even better than you would think.............

The DR ended third in their group with two points. So didn’t qualify for the next round. But quite impressive still.
