Ca anyone confirm that Pan Am will soon start flying with Jetstreams 31 between sju-sdq. The aircraft belong to Boston Maine Airways a Pan Am subsidiary and the new airline will be called Pan Am Dominicana.

Despite the name, the jetstreams are not "jets". They are turboprops.

Eli, the point is not whether the pilots are qualified, but rather whether airline management is qualified. Lot's of bad history there. You should do a search.

it seems so cool, like we'll have branches of all airlines here, I am wondering when Iraq Airways will open "IRAQ DOMINICANA" :)

Porfio i understand about the bad history i know for a fact that the tourism dept. in Dom. Rep. gave Pam Am close to $300,000.00 last year to start operating sju-pop ,the minister himself on the inaugural flight the a month a half later they shut down for four months so definitely that Pan Am is not good for the user.

Another thing is what can you expext from an airlin that downgardes from jets no matter how old they to small turboprops, doesn't say much for them does it?
