The national council of the civic movement and Dominican chapter of Transparency International, Participación Ciudadana elected Nora Elizabeth Sánchez Padilla (Lizzie) as its new general coordinator for 2023-2024. She replaces Joseph Abreu, who ended his one-year term.
According to a press release, Lizzie Sánchez Padilla is a sociologist with training in sustainability and social responsibility. She is also a founding member of Participación Ciudadana. She has been part of the National Council and coordinator of the Institutional Strengthening, Transparency and Ethics commissions.
She is currently an advisor to private companies on corporate social responsibility. She has been a member of the board of directors of Fe y Alegría and the Jarabacoa Forestry School. She has worked in development projects in Fudeco, in the German Service of Technical Cooperation (GIZ)...
