Passport not stamped

Hi, I have just noticed my passport was not stamped on entry and I need to pay for an overstay. I have the boarding pass showing the entry date. Problem?

Shouldn’t be a problem, it’ll be in their computer.

I assume you did an e-ticket for your entry which was used by immigration? They should have you in their data base for when you arrived.

Years ago they told me I had to pay 1 year overstay fee, but I only had 1 month. They couldn't find my entry stamp, I panicked for a minute, I was sure it would be in the computer, but they were trying it on, I took the passport off them and did a thorough check, I finally found the stamp, be prepared to show some docs, they might try it on....!

I was checked the same when passing thru STI last month.

EVERY time they check just before you go to baggage claim.

Yep, seems odd. I wonder if they overstamped and OP missed it. Very hard to read over stamp.

Last time I entered a few weeks ago, the agent didn't stamp my passport and I didn't realize. Went through control point number two and they sent me back for the stamp.

Now that's normal.

My passport expired after entry. I now have a new one with no stamps and a different number. Any idea how they would calculate overstay fee?

Wich ariport entry did you pass by? In SDQ they have an agent checking that every body arriving has the stamp.
