My family is planning a trip to the DR. We are looking for a place to stay that is not directly in town. We want a place where we can relax and enjoy nature. Ideally, we'd like some sort of 1 or 2 bedroom apt. or villa? Is there such a place? Also, what's the weather like in August?

They also have Swiss chalet villas housing up to 8 are available for additional surcharge.

It is in really nice calm area, in a forest, about 10kms away from Jarabacoa, mid-way from La Vega to Jarabacoa.
This is a private mountain villa-complex, there are maybe hundred of villas, many of them costing millions of dollars.
It has a 24 hour security. Good place to visit, relax, and enjoy.
The resort has sporting activities available, pool (water), pool (play)
I think they have tenis court as well.
