Going to DR in March. Need info on Flamenco and Playa Dorada Hotel and Casino. Also would like to go whale watching in Samana. How long is the drive. Should rent a car or take a taxi.

It's a four hour drive from Puerto Plata to Samana. You should rent a car, or better still, spend a day or so in Samana.
