Please tell me something about the Caribbean Village Playa Grande. Have the Hotel a Homepage?
How long i must drive with a Taxi/Bus from the Playa Grande to San Pedro de Macoris? Is it expensive ???

In 1997 i take my vocation in the Costa Linda Hotel in Juan Dolio. I heard that the Hotel will be renovated.
Is it open now? A new Name?

I have been in Juan Dolio 4 times since March 1999 and I don't recall seeing Costa Linda Hotel in Juan Dolio. Don't forget, that area was hit by a violent hurricane in September 1998 so it may have been destroyed then. A lot of hotels which were destroyed won't be rebuilt.

check the DR1 travel page / resort reviews for keyword "Playa Grande". You will find a lot of reviews.

The Allegro hotel chain has been sold to another group and is presently in the process of transfer. I have been told that due to this there are some problems with the service, however nothing really bad and I think one can still recommend it.

From San Pedro de Macoris you will have to go via Santo Domingo (1 hour), then 4 hours to Rio San Juan. With Caribe Tours buses expect about 100 RD$, by Taxi about 2000RD$.

hello, I send you the direct link to CV Playa Grande.
I was in Juan Dolio in May, and as far as I know, they are not renovating Costa Linda, but there are at least another new resort in the area (Casa Marina, I think, but I'm not sure).

Playa Grande is basically a golf resort with one of the finest courses in the world . It is on the North Shore. Juan Dolio is is basically a beach resort, unless you want to try Metro Country Club. It is on the South Shore. It will take a day to make the trip from one side of the island to the other, since it is a long way. It took me 6 1/2 hours from La Romana to Playa Grande and I was flying in a private car!! And I used all the shortcuts...
You will be much better off staying in pone place and having a good time...
