Please advise ! Rental in Punta Cana

Hey guys , we are a couple in a mid 40's and got enough of Canadian winters and planing to move to punta Cana during the winter from December to May .
What would be the best gated community in a walking distance to the beach with all the amenities , golf , beach club , walking distance to shopping , restaurants and bars , etc.
Your input will be really appreciated
We will coming to Punta Cana for 2 weeks in September and we like to know where to look for rental property's
Our budget is between 1500 to 2500 and we will like a small villa or a large condo .

If you take the golf out of it there are several in the Los Corales area. Grunwald 1, Playa Turquaza, Stanza Mare to name a few. If golf is really important there are several rentals in Cocatal which is across from the Palma Real shopping center but a good walk from the beach.

You should also look at Beach Residency, Palm Suites, Arenas del Caribe, Corte Sea, and Santa Maria del Mar II. All are within walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and shops. Check out the Punta Cana Bavaro Real Estate page on facebook. There was a listing for a penthouse in Palm Suites the other day.

the El Cortecito area, where the above mentioned properties are located, like Los Corales, Stanza Mare, Playa Turquesa Condos, is located very convenient.
you fid condominiums right at the beach, restaurants and shopping within walking distance, the Cocotal Golfcourse is very close, itis also just a few driving minutes to the Iberostate Golf Course at the Iberostar Resort, transportation to either canbe arranged unexpensively and easy.
december to may is not just in general the peak travel season for punta cana as a whole area, it is specifically peak time for condominium rentals, peak time for the snowbirds.
to find a "deal" will be difficult for a spacy beachfront or even villa. those book waaaay in advance, often the best spots book at the end of the season already for the next year's season.

December - April or May is high season; there won't be very many deals to be had on rental properties.
