President Luis Abinader announced a cash bonus of RD$1,500 to mothers included in the public welfare cards plans under the Social Cabinet of the Presidency (Superate). The President called the bonus a “cariñito.” The bonus will be delivered as of 21 May 2025, through Alimentate, Mio and Banco de Reservas distribution channels.
The Presidency also announced Inespre special markets would offer low-costing produce in time for the celebration of Mother’s Day.
Mother’s Day in the Dominican Republic falls on the last Sunday in May. This year, Mother’s Day falls on Sunday, 25 May 2025.
Mother’s Day is a good time to purchase appliances. Major stores have deals for the celebration.
