President Abinader continues to back issuing titles to people holding public property

This past weekend, President Luis Abinader was able to provide property certificates to well over 800 person in 21 different sectors of West Santo Domingo and East Santo Domingo. The President told the assembled crowd that his plan is to convert the Dominican Republic into a nation of property owners.

In fact, he said that he intends to deliver as many as 75,000 property deeds between 2025 and 2026. He praised the directors of such agencies as the State Sugar Council, and National Assets who are the spearheads of the drive.

In general terms, the program provides deeds to houses that have been built on state lands, in many cases, and guarantees a roof for needy families.

Yep. I've always said that's the last big one to generate a ton of money for the state.

They've barely touched it so far. I bet it's not that far in the future.

They’d have to start small. Can you imagine foreclosures for non-payment? Talk about a revolution………
