I wonder if the daughters have any type of security in the states?
"Call security. There's a guy that's been following us"
"Oh, don't worry about him He's just a friend."

Congratulations... how come she didn't attend college in china? I bet she went to a Ivy league school
well, I think it's safe to say she did not attend a community college in Kentucky. He is an educated man, studied at Harvard and can send his family to any school anywhere.

While I totally agree with you, we should never disparage community colleges. They serve a great purpose in getting tech and education to those without a lot of money. We all know, or should know, that once you have 5 years experience, where you went to school is irrelvant.

Thanks for this. Actually in the States the poorer you are, especially if an immigrant status, the better the school our the taxpayers will send you to for free!

I went to state school, but there is no doubt on Earth that a degree from an Ivy league school will guarantee you employment in the upper Forbes echelon for life as long as you haven't been convicted of a crime, and even then many still get the job!

Sending the Abinader daughters to study in the good, ol' US of A, allows them to be footloose and the parents to be irony-free:

They OWN Universidad Dominicana O&M.

Those Abinader girls welcome the freedom afforded to them in the Yunaire Etay university campus (frat parties, theme parties (toga to beach and beyond), basement bash, tailgate, and the banger, etc..., while their parents get richer from the super-duper high tuition at O&M.

The DR government should improve English teaching. It is so important especially in the DR.
"It is so important especially IN THE WORLD".BTW, why would "the DR government" give a chit? Haven't we all learned, and discuss almost daily on DR1 the concepts of classe structure? Like...you stay where you are and WE can get our education in the states? Relying on governments , be it DR, US, China or check other, is a fool's game.

True IN THE WORLD. But Dominicans really only need to learn English as a foreign language. French, German, Chineese etc is not as important. The US is a neighbor.
