Ok linguist specialists - here's a good word to to help me with. I already know what it means and use it sometimes but can't seem to find it in the dictionary. It means "to pretend" from what I gather from it's uses. Here are a couple of forms:

prive loco
priveniendo en loco
verb intr. - privenir

The best guess I can come up with is it is the dominicanized version of yet another English word "to pretend" among others like guachiman, visar(to give a visa) vaporu, etc. Anybody out there can shed a little light on this?

Thanks
