Puerto Plata to La Romana?

Does anyone know how many hours it takes to get from Puerto Plata to the La Romana Penninsula by auto? Or,is there an air shuttle that could accomodate four people staying in Puerto Plata for a day of golf at Casa de Campo? Any info would be appreciated. It looks awfully far on the map!

It is a long haul!

In fact, unless you 'have'to Play Teeth of the Dog, the question is why bother?
In POP you have Playa Dorada and just down the road (1:15) you have Playa Grande. Playa Grande is better and more exciting than La Roman, hands down.
Also just an hour away you have Santiago and its Pete Dye course at Las Aromas....
Just a thought...

Sure thing...

Its called...............Las Aromas!
It is reached by going over the bridge, take the first right after the Shell station and thje road ends at the Golf course.
Green Fees are about $10 and caddies are 15$....
