Which Allegro resort are you talking about in Punta Cana. Allegro is a branch of resorts not just one. I stayed at Allegros Caribbean Village Club on the Green in Puerto Plata. It was fabulous. We really enjoyed the food, entertainment, drinks and staff. It was a really great resort I had no complaints what so ever. Debbies dominican republic travel page rates it a 3 and a half star but I really think it deserves a 4 and a half at least.
