I think as artists age they try and change their "style" to keep up with the younger generation. Sometimes with not such good results. As a side note, Marc Anthony does spend time in the Punta Cana area/Casa de Campo area.

Something is way off musically with this song. The beat says bachata but the lyrics and the tempo... He just can't get out of salsa mode. There's too many words crammed into a stanza. Bachata is a very simple beat and lyric. His version sounds conflicted and too complicated for a simple beat.
